Hoi An's best
fish and chips
Terrace 2, Hội An Cloth Market
Pub classics,
rooftop dining,
cold drinks,
& live sports!
Born as a delivery venture in 2020, Ms. Phuong's quickly became a Hội An favourite, growing into today's rooftop restaurant.
Serving sustainably sourced fish with signature hand-cut, double-fried chips.
A British classic, done properly, by the river.
Comfort food deserves to be taken seriously.
Fish and chips is a simple dish, which is exactly why the details matter: the freshness of the fish, the crispness of the batter, the crunch of a chip that's been fried twice instead of once.
We keep the menu short and the kitchen honest, so every basket that comes off the fryer is one we'd order again ourselves.

“Delicious! Tried the latest addition to the menu, a mahi mahi souvlaki, cannot speak highly enough. The kids had fish and a burger, both with chips and loved them also. Best spot in town to sit in the breeze and watch the world go by with a birds eye view over the market and river. The Market Bar on the opposite terrace is just as good and serves the same delicious options. Beers were cold and cocktail options were plentiful and tasty. Have been back 3 times whilst in Hoi An for a week.”

“Wow! What an unexpected treat. We tried the fish & chips as well as the calamari. Both were super tender. Loved the batter on the fish and nice breading of the calamari. And such a great spot to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. Would definitely like to return for the popcorn shrimp and a pint! If you're craving some comfort food, this is definitely the spot.”
-
“Honestly so so good!! We needed a break from all the Vietnamese food and opted for this place. Got the popcorn chicken w chips and fish and chips. UNREAL!! So delicious and fresh, the staff was very attentive too”
-
“A real gem, quality fresh fish dishes at great prices. Perfect spot for people watching too. And they play great music. The girls are also so friendly. I came here multiple times throughout my stay and have recommended it to many people along the way.”
-
“I had the fish and chips at the Market Bar next door but felt I needed to review here as well - it's just that good. The fish and chips were some of the best I have ever had - and I'm from London originally. Perfect crispy chips, crunchy but light batter, and firm tasty mahi mahi. You can get cocktails sent over from the bar too, G&Ts highly recommended”

“We always discover these great places on our last night! Great little restaurant upstairs above the market with a lovely terrace. We were hanging out for some good fish and chips and found this place after some research on Google. Very friendly service and fresh food and a really chill location overlooking the river. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from the hustle of the old town.”
-
“Amazing location, up above the market with a birds eye view of market life below. Staff were great and the beer Icy cold. I actually tried the chicken not the fish and chips. It was juicy and tender, accompanied by a huge fresh salad. I loved it. I will definitely be back to try the fish and chips.”
-
“Absolutely the real deal—proper, old-school fish and chips done right in the heart of Hoi An. Light, crispy batter on generous portions of fresh local fish, thick-cut chips cooked perfectly, and all the right fixins on the side. Casual spot, but seriously good.”

“Wonderful food staff and service.. Mushy peas curry sauce for all the Britt’s who love their creature comforts.. Battered fish and chips absolutely beautiful..”
